At noon on Tuesday, June 11th, we will celebrate the Tenth Season SOAR Farmers Market Grand Opening Celebration with our Annual Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Alderman Brian Hopkins and our supporting sponsors; Northwestern Medicine, Northwestern University, FirstService Residential, First Northern Credit Union and the Museum of Contemporary Art. We will salute the occasion with a giant Eli’s strawberry topped cheesecake with a complimentary piece for everyone at the market. Make sure to join us on Tuesday to help celebrate.

Different Volunteer Roles Available:
Greeting - Welcome visitors with a smile and provide them with information about vendors, SOAR activities, and upcoming events.

Assisting with Activities at the SOAR Booth - Help manage our suggestion boards, where patrons can share feedback and ideas to improve our Streeterville neighborhood. Manage additional booth activities for patron engagement.
•
Membership Support - Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and inquiries, helping to build and maintain a strong community of supporters.
Whether you can spare a few hours each week or just want to lend a hand on occasion, every bit of help makes the difference.

Since 1975, SOAR has been one of the most influential community organizations in Chicago. Our dedicated volunteers have been instrumental in shaping Streeterville. Some of the most pressing issues the neighborhood is facing today include carjackings, robberies, homelessness, the migrant situation, cannabis dispensaries, and the interim casino. The severity of these issues will significantly affect the difficulty of our work. We are reaching out because we need your help. In these worrisome economic times, your financial support of our Annual Appeal will be important to help us continue to serve and advocate for our community.
