Glyndebourne House Debut & Nemorino Role Debut ✅✅
What an incredibly rewarding experience at
@glyndebourne , marking both my house debut and my role debut as Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore.
In true operatic fashion, it had its fair share of ups and downs, with a bout of sickness hitting me right as we launched into our performances – the classic ol’ life of a singer 🤩🤦♂️. But once that finally buggered off and allowed me to get back on with my job, it was all go! 😂🕺
This is a role I’ve aspired to sing in its entirety ever since I sang the role in an abridged version on tour for
@nz_opera as a Fish and Chip Nemorino (that’s a post for another day 🐟🍟), and to then bring it to life on such a prestigious stage, in a charming production, with top-tier colleagues on and off stage, in front of such warm and generous audiences, was humbling and a true treat! 🙌
An enormous thank you to everyone who made this experience unforgettable and for all the support along the way - you're the real ones!
