I want to share my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for this incredible journey and the wonderful souls I’ve had the pleasure to meet. In a world filled with chaos and the madness of politics, where humanity often feels lost, finding a place where I can be free to express myself, be honest, and feel truly alive is a precious gift.

[ 𝟰𝟰𝗲 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 → 𝗔𝗨 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗗𝗘 𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗘 ]
🌙 Cette année trois chorégraphes ont été inspirés par l’univers de la nuit et plus particulièrement par celui de la Lune. Qu'elle soit pleine comme pour Josef Nadj dans 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯, ou auréolée d’un anneau lumineux dans 𝘓𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘳 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘰 de @CloudGateDance , c’est dans la notion même de la nuit que @sorourdarabi__ plonge pour créer une pièce inspirée du conte des 𝘔𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘦 𝘕𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘴.
🌕 𝙁𝙐𝙇𝙇 𝙈𝙊𝙊𝙉
Avec sa précédente pièce 𝘖𝘮𝘮𝘢 (2021), le chorégraphe Josef Nadj a opéré une rupture radicale dans son œuvre chorégraphique. Dans 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯, sa nouvelle création, nous retrouvons plusieurs danseurs ayant participé à 𝘖𝘮𝘮𝘢, et venant de pays africains : Mali, Sénégal, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso et Congo Brazzaville.
Associée au renouvellement et à la transformation, la Lune a été source d’inspiration pour le chorégraphe qui a construit la structure chorégraphique de sa pièce suivant le schéma des cycles de 28 jours de la Lune.
🌛 𝙈𝙄𝙇𝙇𝙀 𝙀𝙏 𝙐𝙉𝙀 𝙉𝙐𝙄𝙏𝙎
Inspiré par le chef-d'œuvre du conte des 𝘔𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘦 𝘕𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘴 et la figure fascinante de Shéhérazade, @sorourdarabi__ orchestre un opéra des corps en plusieurs chapitres, sur l’univers de la nuit à travers le point de vue de Shéhérazade. En travaillant l’esthétique des voix transgenres, l’artiste souhaite mettre en lumière ces voix marginalisées. À travers cette performance, les interprètes aux corps engagés et chargés de passion s’attachent à construire de nouveaux mythes et récits, de nouvelles représentations artistiques.
🎑 𝙇𝙐𝙉𝘼𝙍 𝙃𝘼𝙇𝙊
Le directeur artistique du @cloudgatedance , @tsunglungchengtsunglung , a observé pour la première fois un halo lunaire dans le ciel islandais. Il s’agit d’un phénomène naturel où la lumière de la Lune se réfracte lorsque l’atmosphère est chargée de cristaux de glace, formant un anneau lumineux autour de la Lune. Parfois perçu comme signe de changement imminent, le chorégraphe a souhaité questionner dans sa création, la montée en puissance des technologies dans notre environnement.

🪨 아누샤 모타샤미는 유리, 플라스틱, 메탈릭 스카치 같은 산업 재료를 사용해 조각을 제작한다. 작품은 신체의 해리 상태에서 영감을 받아 외부에서 바라보는 몸의 물질성을 드러내고, 작가는 이를 ‘무기 액체화’라고 일컫는다. 🌫️

아누샤 모타샤미(b.1998)는 이란 출신 설치작가로 정체성, 젠더 이슈에 깃든 자연, 오염, 폭력, 파괴 등의 사회, 윤리적 문제를 꼬집는다. 작가는 생명의 보고이자 신비로운 장소인 늪 지대를 배경으로 환경 문제에 문학적인 상상력을 더해 유기적인 조각을 구현한다. 인간 중심적 시각에 대한 대안으로 여러 존재가 공존하기 위한 길을 기호학적, 예술적 관점으로 모색한다. 《The Reason behind the Tears》(멕시코시티 오브라그리스 2023), 《La Descente》(파리 컨포트모던 2022), 《Unconditional Lover, Living Content》(파리 애프터아워즈존 2022) 등의 단체전에 참여했다. 파리 국립고등예술학교 재학. 파리에서 거주 및 활동.

팩션은 2024년 5월 4일부터 17일까지 김동우 기획전 《바디 프로필》을 개최한다. 회화, 조각, 설치를 아우르는 작가 4인의 작품 8점을 선보인다. 이번 전시는 신진 기획자 김동우의 첫 기획전이자 한국, 미국, 이란의 신진 작가를 한 자리에서 소개하는 국제 교류전이다. 전시는 신체 근육을 가꿔 사진을 찍고 이를 SNS에 과시하는 ‘바디 프로필’ 유행에서 착안했다. 젊은 세대에게 바디 프로필은 몸을 가꾸는 것보다 사진을 찍고 과시하는 게 중요한 ‘자기 충족적 행위’로, 이번 기획은 몸으로부터 출발한 작업과 전시를 하나의 ‘바디 프로필’로 정의한다. 전시는 이같은 재귀적인 방식으로 청년 세대가 스스로의 신체를 사물화, 대상화하는 현상을 일종의 증상이라 여기고 자조적인 시선으로 풀어낸다. 전시장에 은근하게 퍼지는 땀 냄새부터 물 소리, 발칙한 상상을 불러일으키는 그림까지, 오감을 자극하는 작품은 21세기 미디어에 성행하는 ‘젊은 몸’이란 관념을 다층적으로 소환한다.

𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚 brings together 8 works by 4 artists, ranging from painting to sculpture and installation. The exhibition is inspired by the widespread trend of “body profiling,” which is particularly prevalent among relatively young people and is typically manifested through the display of toned physiques on social media. Body profiling has become a “self-fulfilling prophecy,” where the act of profiling images that conform to a certain standard of beauty takes precedence over nurturing physical well-being. The body is a fundamental element that runs throughout the exhibition, with individual body-related works serving to define the exhibition as a whole. 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚 takes a sarcastic look at the self-objectification of young people as a symptomatic phenomenon through a recursive approach. From the scent of sweat lingering in the air, to the dripping water, to the provocative imagery, 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚 explores the idea of the “youthful body” as presented in recent media.

100% 🦋 - 𝒹’𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝑒𝓉 𝒹’𝑒𝒶𝓊 𝒻𝓇𝒶𝒾𝒸𝒽𝑒 est une édition réalisée par @nathalie__chollet dans le cadre de ma sortie de résidence au @le_sample_bagnolet en octobre dernier.
L’édition est ficelée autour d’un texte que j’ai écrit sur l’importance du repos, de laisser couler le temps et du deuil, il est accompagné d’images offertes par @xdartayre@wang.ache@romeo__dini@louise.vendel@m_rdb_c@audreycdk , des photos de mon escargot Shy, d’un texte de @the_biggest_swamp_ever sur les marécages et des extraits de récits d’Ursula K. Leguin
