After a gently paced 2023 due to our new family addition, and with a new headshot in hand, we thought it was time for a little reintroduction.
We’re Gillian & Chris, a husband and wife developing our unique aesthetic and approach together as a photography team for over a decade.
We’ve built our home in Hove and can’t imagine a life away from the sea, yet London's doorstep has allowed us to continue to work at some of the worlds most iconic venues and to connect with the most inspiring couples.
Crafting photographs that become timeless heirlooms is a true privilege, preserving memories that families will hold dear for generations. This was really cemented for us this past year when we welcomed our daughter into the world. How special and fleeting these moments can be.
Most important for us is to create authenticity in our work - images with a laid-back charm but always with a genuine emotion filled richness. There’s a certain feeling to a photograph of a real moment that can’t be replicated by poses or prompts. This doesn’t mean we don’t create beautiful editorial and fashion inspired images - it just means we like every image to have a true soul.
In 2020, we embarked on building and mentoring a team that would become an extension of our distinctive style and approach to wedding photography. Now, The Curries Studio boasts a team of talented photographers ready to curate your wedding photograph collection; infusing it with honest moments, evocative frames and joyful storytelling.
We have limited availability for 2024 but with room in our diary for a few key dates. Our 2025 calendar is also now open and we look forward to meeting and reconnecting with you all.

Reminiscing today (with a nudge from @chessieking ) about her and Mats most incredible day. The love and energy surrounding them both was truly overwhelming - a village coming together to celebrate and support (and of course a tiny Rae too). Honoured to be included in the wonderful team brought together by the talented @thewstudiostyle (to think we almost didn’t have space in the diary for this wedding Pippa!) One of the more simple frames from the day but that truly captures the sparkle.
