Dear followers, I have an important announcement. I stutter, a speech issue that most of you are probably familiar with. And you’re likely thinking, “I don’t mind it at all” and I completely agree with you, because that’s how I should feel about it too. Unfortunately, it negatively affects me every day, probably because I’ve always wanted to keep it a secret and have turned it into a taboo myself, simply because I feel ashamed of it. I don’t know if I’ll ever overcome stuttering, but I want to move away from keeping it a secret. So, with this message towards all of you, the first step for me has been taken. If you want to read more about how, when, and why it affects me as a person and as a dj/producer feel free to continue reading by swapping the post. If not, I completely understand; at least now you know that I stutter.

Inspired by his first bought techno vinyls back in the late 90s, TWR72 crafted his new project for OOM Records. Titled “iOi,” it symbolizes a drum, with the ‘i’s as hands or sticks and the ‘O’ as the drum itself.
Each of the ten tracks boasts its own title, yet when the initial letters are combined, they spell out ‘percussion.’ Drums and percussion have long been pivotal to the essence of music, evolving from primitive beginnings to intricate forms. Their significance spans cultures worldwide, each with its own rich narrative.
In techno, percussion is key, capable of moving listeners without other instruments. The late 90s and early 20s witnessed a surge of percussion-driven techno, enduring as timeless and functional pieces still embraced today. Yet, this enchantment has only been fleetingly replicated in the past two decades. “iOi” serves as an homage to that distinctive era.
The new release on OOM Records is on it’s way. It’s called iOi. Not letters, but a symbol that portrays drums. A 10-track EP which is an ode to percussive techno from the late 90’s.

We will start uploading meticulously curated sets from previous Echo Series to our SoundCloud. The first will be TWR72’s cutting-edge set from Series 01, the founder of Float Records. TWR72 is an Amsterdam-based artist who pioneers a forward-thinking approach toward electronic music: a fusing and pulsing rhythm with a cutting drive, binding it with a strong signature groove. His label Float Records explores the combination of perfection and simplicity.

As we step into 2024 I want to do a small 2023 recap and thank all the artists and people that were involved over the last year.
@floatrecords was lifted by all the great artists. But also the people that supported.
Challenging projects were done with CLUB CULT that had a timeframe of 4 months (<3 to all remixers!). It was amazing to hear and see that it got picked up so well.
A sincere appreciation goes out to @marron.ec for his trust, skills, and time invested in our joint project. Thanks to all the artists for their patience and amazing productions. Kudos to @wcyarchive , @__decoder , and @mathyslenne___ for gracing Float with their exceptional music throughout the past year. And <3 to all the great artists that did a set for the Float Podcast. New stuff on Float is coming sooner than you might think.
A big shoutout to @athousanddetails , the only release on OOM Records last year. Rest assured, OOM is very much alive and ready for an exciting 2024. Stay tuned…
