What do you get when you combine melodic breaks with trippy, reactive visuals displayed on old CRT TVs? Gioray is what you get. This live performer took the Kraakkelder on an audiovisual odyssey. The various musical instruments he has in his array are not just for making heavenly sounds. The different parameters and buttons on the synths are also used to warp and mutate mind-boggling visuals that are visible on the four CRT TVs he brought along with him. It truly was an unforgettable experience!

On the 25th of april, the first edition of our Dreadlabs Music showcase took place in the amazing kelder of @krakers_tilburg . From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you. Gioray and Studio Jonsson combine their forces to deliver you some rave visuals that make you crave your next rave. In this experimental project Studio Jonsson made some graphics that Gioray turned into dynamic moving artworks. More coming soon..?
@unclegion art installations use forgotten technologies in a modern way creating a captivating experience. For our anniversary, he created a site specific work, creating a generative visualization, reactive on the music. The installation was also integrated with the setup of our VJ @nomad_2390 , allowing him to further customize the visualizations, achieving complete synchronization of the lighting.
We’re grateful for the effort they both invested in this project and happy to support such artistic expression and collaboration in this unique way 🫶
Dreamscape supports your relaxation routine and can help grow the competence of mindfulness and listening to yourself. It consists of a generative synthesizer that produces an evolving soundscape. By using the tool, the user can navigate through this soundscape and create their own sounds. Making consequent, gentle movements reveal more of the soundscape, and moving the tool in certain ways can generate sounds that were not present before. This practice can help people relieve stress and make relaxation more accessible.
About a year ago, I graduated from the University of Technology Eindhoven with this project. Special thanks to Jens Vervoort, Jelmer Bontje and Tiên Lê for helping me to make this beautiful video for my portfolio. Also massive thanks to everyone else who supported me in the process of the project.
