From my heart I want to apologize for those who couldn’t dine with us. I’m so so sorry. We have a limited seating at the restaurant.

Lots of guests ask us everyday that what does Bungalow 101 mean?
In India, the number 101 is considered auspicious and is often associated with Barkat (abundance of good fortune and blessings).
This belief is rooted in cultural and traditional practices. Our Grandparents always gave us 101 Rupee during Birthdays, gifts or festivals.
Gifting or donating money in amounts ending in 1, such as 101, 501, or 1001, is common. It signifies that the gesture of giving should continue and not end at a round number, promoting the idea of continuity and growth.

This evening was nothing short of magical—a dream come true. I’ve been an ardent admirer of Chef Vikas Khanna and had wished to meet him ever since Bungalow opened, and my amazing husband turned that wish into a wonderful reality.
@vikaskhannagroup Chef Vikas Khanna is a living legend. His simplicity, warmth, humility, and unwavering dedication are truly inspiring. Meeting him in person was an experience I will cherish forever.
We had the pleasure of engaging in several delightful conversations with him, each one highlighting his incredible humility, so down to earth personality and shedding light on why he is so universally celebrated.
This has been the most wonderful birthday gift I could ever imagine 😊.
Dining at Bungalow was an extraordinary experience, far beyond our expectations. Every dish was a masterpiece, each telling its own captivating story. Bungalow Daal is our most favorite one, when Chef asked us “daal Kaisi lagi” those words made it even more special ❤️
Chef Vikas Khanna’s graciousness and personal touch made us feel warmly at home, as if we were welcomed into a dear cherished friend’s embrace.
No trip to NYC is complete without a visit to Bungalow!

Late Post but worth Sharing: We were in Big Apple for our Anniversary and We decided to go the Famous “Bunglow 101 “ by Michelin Star Chef @vikaskhannagroup it was my wish and part of Bucket list Reservations were full on that day and Sarvesh wrote them a long email that how desperately we wanted to be there specially I 😊. We were lucky enough to secure a spot. I have been fan of Chef since a long time that I told him as well and food was Amazing. I am still getting goosebumps how Lucky we were that day to meet Chef in person and celebrate our special day at his special place. After meeting him I realised how success makes you so humble so kind so welcoming this I am gonna cherish all my life ♥️♥️♥️♥️🇮🇳🇮🇳 . I visited @bungalowny ,got a seat at the bar without a reservation, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet @vikaskhannagroup who is an inspiration to many; a truly kind soul. And there he was and I was awestruck. Even though he was super busy, he came out of the kitchen to greet us. He patiently listened to everything I shared during those 10 minutes.
His kindness, warmth, and aura make you feel at home. It’s very rare that you meet a Michelin star chef who is so humble and connected to his roots.
We sampled some amazing dishes. The food and drinks were excellent, the restaurant had a delightful ambiance and fantastic service. Wishing them continued success and eagerly looking forward to returning soon.

I’ve known Legendary Chef Jean-Georges @chefjgv for more than 2 decades.
We worked together to host gala at @rubinmuseum & he wrote blurbs for my books. And has guided me over years on the rise of Indian Cuisine. So generous & always there to support the community. ❤️🙏🏽
He was always very kind to host me & Radha at Nougatine by Jean-Georges so many times.
Absolutely a pioneer to highlight South East Asian cuisine at the iconic Spice Market.
I remember the day Chef took me around the restaurant & kitchen and showed me his magic. Spice Market was truly a game changer for me.
And a milestone in the journey of Indian Cuisine.
And today, I had the honor of hosting @chefjgv@phvjg@magnus_maguuse@nziberg at BUNGALOW.
I’m so humbled & grateful when Chef said, “this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had.” ❤️❤️❤️
Since the time I booked my tickets to NYC for a work trip, I have been trying to get a reservation at @bungalowny because I am a fan of @vikaskhannagroup and I love his humility and warmth. I couldn’t get the reservation so I decided that I will try walking in and see if I can get to even sit at the bar. As I was leaving work, two of my colleagues said they would love to join. While I was glad for their company, I was also worried that it may be even more difficult to get in with three people. But as luck would have it, there was seating for three available at the bar and those bar chairs are super comfortable. We ordered a bunch of small plates and drinks. But best part was when the chef @vikaskhannagroup came to say hello - I told him how excited I am to be here and my sister is a super fan but probably sleeping in India, he immediately took my phone and asked for my sister’s name @theauravini and recorded a message for her. He is the warmest person and I can confirm the legends are true. The food, drinks, ambience, service, everything was amazing and I cannot recommend enough. Thanks again @vikaskhannagroup for your warmth and hospitality 💕💕💕
