This Youth Day, we reflect on what brave students fought for nearly half a century ago—the right to equal education in their own home language. Today, less than 15% of SA schools have a functioning library, and even fewer have language-appropriate books for their learners.
This week, thanks to the support of our donors, Breadline Africa handed over a beautiful new school library to the learners and teachers at Bonga Lower Primary in Gugulethu, filled with wonderful storybooks in the learners' home languages.
