When Ryan first came to me with “I want to convert the single garage into another Airbnb,” I was like please NO! NO NO NO!!! I cannot deal with construction, mess, and dust: it makes me so nuts! But then I got pregnant and super sick (HG!! IYKYK!), and I was basically down for about five months! So, he started the renovations when I just didn’t have the energy to fight, and BOY! Am I glad he did! The boho Cave is a little passion project: rough around the edges but perfect for couples! Summer fun with a private pool and braai area, with lounge doors that open completely to integrate the indoors and outdoors. We’ve sat with many guests, doors open, fire going, just chatting about life—it’s magical! In winter, the doors stay closed, the indoor fireplace comes on, and it’s music, soft lighting, and red wine that fuel the conversations about life.
