I attended the largest electronic music festival in Chile,
@montemapufestival , which was held so close to my house in Valdivia de Paine I could hear it..Intrigued by the sound, I attended it with a couple of friends. That’s where I had my first meeting with DJs who played music from Ott, Blue Tech, Androcell, Kaminanda, Kalya Scintilla and Quanta. These artists immediately became my favorite and, hold a big influences in my music production. Soon I decided to take a trip to Latin America, visiting Peru and Ecuador and had a mystical experience I was able to visualize my path with music and found my vision. During this mystical journey it was my heart that spoke to me and that voice focused me on my path. The experience was so strong that without hesitation, I dedicate myself fully into music. Upon returning from my trip, I perceived my theoretical weakness with respect to music and I decided to mature, polishing my knowledge through discipline. While taking music classes from Harmony for more than 3 years I began to explore writing my own songs and production software. In mid-2018, after trying form a couple of bands, I decided to venture into my project called Dejalum as a soloist and, later to co-found my music label, “Quantum Cell Records” to showcase other musical projects and for myself. Dejalum’s sound and composing have evolved a lot over time, due to my constant research into the universe of musical theory and sound design. Intrigued by the structural coherence of life, I attempts to give this same coherence to my music production process. Today the styles that best describe the Dejalum project are; psybass, psydub, psychill, glitch hop, downtempo, midtempo and ethnofusion.
