In collaboration with @sj_artists_ we have brought together three exceptional artists, each contributing their unique style, to create a diverse visual experience on the Sea Point promenade, that captures the essence of our city’s artistic spirit ✨ Introducing the first artist Mika Revell, also known as @littlepinkpills . Mika is an Asian-American artist known for her political satire, feminism & historical art references 🎨 Her mural Impossible City, inspired by M.C. Escher, challenges perceptions of urban spaces & prompts viewers to reconsider conventional notions of home & community. 🚶‍♂️Take a stroll on the promenade & experience the intricate optical illusions of Mika’s mural.

Inspired by the Rainbow Serpent from the Dreamtime myths of the original custodians of the land of Australia, the Gadigal of the Eora Nation. The Ancestral entity is present in many indigenous cultures. It is believed to be the creator of all life, and the keeper of our most precious resource. It is said to have carved the mountains and oceans with its body, guiding us to water. By exposing the layers we can see the intrinsic diversity and splendor within the minerals of our earth's surface. @alexfinnemore

Symphony of Circuit and Soil 2023 Parabolic void in rammed earth, with interactive audio. Our AI-generated audio artwork was awarded a residency in the 2023 "SFER IK Award: Art in Nature". Thank you to the jury, my collaborators, and @SFERIK.art museum for this invitation to co-create with nature. Symphony of Circuit and Soil is an interactive soundscape sculpture that uses artificial intelligence, natural materials, and native animal sounds to stimulate our relationship with nature. In collaboration with @alex.finnemore and Graeme Revell, we bring together expertise in the natural sciences, conceptual and visual arts, and experimental music composition. We plan to develop these themes, integrate natural processes with technology, and contribute to our ancestral future. We acknowledge the original custodians of the land, animals and plants, with recognition to the indigenous peoples of the Yucatán. This recognition fuels our commitment to exploring the convergence of humanity, technology, and the natural environment, opening new avenues for artistic expression and ecological awareness.
