#MindfulMonday
As the daughter of a classroom teacher for 20 years and now administrator, discussions centered around being kind were had in my house almost nightly. I grew up volunteering in classrooms and mentoring children beginning in the 2nd grade. I was able to see firsthand the impact it has on children when they are being bullied. It has always been my mission when speaking in classrooms or working with children to focus on ways in which they can make a positive impact and difference in their school and community. Through my many years of volunteering, mentoring, and working with school counselors in my Mom’s schools, I have developed a plan of action and approach for speaking to students and adults about bullying and HOW we can all make a difference. Join my mission to advocate for a world free from bullying! At the heart of Emma’s project is the belief in empathy, mutual respect, mindfulness, and advocacy. With your support, we can create a safer and more inclusive environment for everyone. Each week I will share more about my project and approach and how together we can stand up against bullying and create a world where empathy, mutual respect, mindfulness, and advocacy are the norm.
