CAPE TOWN
16/6 Let's Prop'In Photo Diary
Nestled in between Clifton and Seapoint, Bantry Bay is an exclusive pocket of the Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town.
Without its own beach or vast promenade, this area is know more for it's cascading allotment of luxury real estate, offering world class views and and accommodation.
This is Aurum Presidential Suites. Having the latin derived name Aurum, meaning gold (Au), with just a glance at the building you instantly recognise the ambiance which the middle eastern developer Ahsan Darvesh intended.
With all imported stonework, interior joinery and fittings, and uncompromising finished, the Da'Realty dna is prominent.

Cars & Croissants
This weekend, we had the privilege of attending this fine event hosted by the awesome teams from @thearchive_cpt and @stellenbosch_speed_company - Cars & Croissants.
The turnout was simply incredible. The venue - Green School, Val De Wie was the perfect back drop for what was one of the most well organised and well endowed car meets we’ve visited. The people, the coffee and the croissants were amazing. What stole the show however, was the cars. The parking lot was full of surprises and getting up close and personal with the rare gems was a treat.
Let us know your pic from our top ten we shared. More to come.
Come Film with LP Media. This time around we’re on home-ground in Camps Bay filing a world class sole mandate for @richard.huxham.hardie of @hardieproperty .
Our process includes a lot of planing and consulting before the shoot, when we’re on site, it’s go time. The magic happens in the editing process where we really establish the feel and message of the final product. Stay tuned for the results on the next post.
BMW 2000CS (1967)
With the recent launch of the disruptive G87 M2, along with its bigger M3/M4 siblings, the design language of the modern BMWs has been in question. So while we reflect on what a BMW should look like, let’s take a look backwards.
The kidney grille remains a signature mark of the BMW face. Here we see it in its vertical arrangement, purposefully pulling the nose of the 2000 CS along with its crowning blue black and white roundel. The chrome border encasing the kidneys also forms an important detail, the same way your eyelashes do to frame your eyes or, your eyebrows for your face. Without them, certain apertures can feel like random holes, without defining them as features.
Feature; that’s what the Kidney Grilles are for a BMW, not just a functional component of a combustion engined car. If it weren’t so the electric iX would’ve done without them.
So, the jury’s out for the new face of BMW. Only time (and sales) will tell if simplicity and modernisation will stand the test of time, and the test of hearts, which came to mind before along with Sheer Driving Pleasure.
