“‘The full sided cut on the B-side named ‘Dive’ could refer to S.A.M. ‘s prior release from 2016 ‘Descend II Ascend’, because the track really does take you to deep inner oceans before ascending to shivering heights. Here the journey up high seems to be conditioned on diving inward. A solemn almost religious choir takes the composition in a unique direction toward a place somewhere in between the beats of the heart..”

Retro’s last residency night in February marked a special one, where he invited B.A.D. founder @niks_bad !
With releases on Wolf Music, Handy Records and a just announced EP on Monty DJ’s Flippen Bits, you could say these are exciting times for Retromigration. This year he also already played at Fabric London, Glastonbury, Doka, Tillatec and will debut at Dekmantel! For his next residency this Saturday he brings NTS radio host ‘anu’ and the Tokyo based music composer and DJ Yuto Takei.
Hailing from London, anu is an established presence in both her local underground scene, but also on a
more global level: from October 2019 - 2020, she was a resident on BBC Asian Network
On anu’s long-standing fortnightly NTS show, you might hear anything from fuzzy dream pop and murky grunge to gleaming soul and deep dives into, say, Japanese hip-hop or Bollywood, while her DJ sets can bring everything from progressive house to glitchy edits of Kylie Minogue to UK funky.
Yuto Takei is a music composer / DJ, based in Tokyo & often Amsterdam. Originally producing music for Video Games & Car Promotions(Gran Turismo series, Lexus). Now he is making beautiful (mostly ambient) music and released on Flippen, Peasaggi and Maloco including a remix from Konduku. Yuto: “DJing is about Electronic / New wave / Video Game Music(VGM) / Ambient / Obscure Japanese,,, I treat them in parallel, aim at groovy stories.”

One of the most exciting new faces in house music is the born and bred Berliner LOVEFOXY.
The warm punch of her distinctive sound and her stage presence is rattling the industry.
She made Boiler Room and Berghain debuts and shared lineups with Omar S, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, Ben Klock, Seth Troxler and Ellen Allien.
Within just a few years she is now an internationally touring DJ. Her unique perspective on house music, her unparalleled charisma, and a devoted following overlapping with LSDXOXO and Honey Dijon, Lovefoxy is proving to be more than just a DJ.
Ezri Jade draws inspiration from her roots and Pan-African belief to curate vibrant and diverse sets. While her selecting journey started close to home with reggae, her main sound consists of (Afro-)electronic and eclectic riddims, exploring the diaspora in it’s many forms — a mesmerizing exploration of Afrotronic, Batida, (Ghetto) House, Baile Funk and world music in all its vibrant and multifaceted forms, captivating audiences with her infectious energy and unparalleled artistry.

Frits Wentink has been one of The Netherlands’ most steady artists since his first release in 2012. He is known for pushing quality leftfield electronic (house) music, exploring a world of synths and organs, drenched in his signature and ever so lovely grooves.
He’s also know to have more than 10 aliases on which he releases music like Prince Palmer, Tom Paris, ZZ BANKS, Bob Bonádis, Yaleesa Hall and many more.
3voor12 called them ‘one to watch’ and as RRFM resident and several Future Intel and Stranded fm sets they can go several ways. Whether it’s footwork, 90s house, UK garage or jungle, askmelater brings a bold and personal flair to the dance.
Essets’s love for music is not bound by a singular genre, texture, or ambiance. By focusing on an order that feels right in the moment, she presents tangible multilayers that translates her affection and attention. She is RRFM resident and programmer, played De School and later this year at Dekmantel Selectors.

Saturday June 29: Sam Goku • no service
Sam Goku with a fresh release on Dekmantel Records, and one of the progammers of the festival ’no service’.
Sam Goku has his debut on the label with 4 mesmerising tracks, made for some special dancefloor moments. A snapshot of the versatility at work which will cement Goku’s position as a standout producer — that one would not expect from a rather hypnotic beat. He plays his way through myriads of subgenres and microcosm in the realm of house, techno and bass music, developing sets that are equally characterized by buoyant ease and yet great depth in the rhythmic, melodic and sonic details.
Besides his many years behind the decks, ‘no service’ has been involved behind the scenes for an equal amount of time, and is currently one of the programmers at Dekmantel.
The Amsterdam-based DJ has played at a varied list of clubs including De School, Tresor, and Opium (Vilnius), as well as Dekmantel and Lowlands. Drawing inspiration from the 1990s and 2000s rave scene, no service doesn’t shy away from the smaller, rawer, and more DIY parties and spots in the landscape. While always staying true to the core elements that shape his sound, he adapts to his surroundings in a chameleonic manner.
