✧✧✧ I went to The George Tavern and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt ✧✧✧
We did it. Another shirt. Another era. Another quirked up venue with a little bit of swag. The Notorious T.A.V.
A lousy T-Shirt from the depths of my heart.

Please note as we want you to look very cool and stylish - these hot little puppies run large. I’m wearing a medium in this but for a snug fit I’ll size down to a small.

We knew it! The Last Dinner Party just announced as winners of @bbcradio1 Sound Of 2024! It's an honour that they came to shoot the big reveal at The George, after playing their first show with us, coming back for secret industry showcases, and photographing their album art upstairs. Needless to say we are very proud to be a part of the journey. I literally cried TWICE watching them at Green Man this year to the biggest audience the rising stage has seen since Black Midi in 2018. It's truly magical stuff. Full of love x
TONIGHT : Another sold out night of solidarity at a special fundraiser gig dedicated to supporting Human Concern International. Live performances from the magnificent The Last Dinner Party, Kaeto and Jangs, as well as some poetry readings throughout the night. Those who managed to get a ticket to this are lucky people indeed. 5K on the waiting list!
TOMORROW : His travesty the Painted Bird (Opus Kink) takes flight in an evening of painfully self-aware folk misery and sickly ballads. There’s fun for all the family, including heartbreak, Armageddon, sexual incontinence and infanticide! Support comes from Weaving in Purgatory with a stripped back and intimate set of pagan poetry and earthly delights, as well as Charlie Keen’s Silver Birch, purveyor of experimental trombone majesty and passion for lager.
THURS : Contemporary hip hop purveyors Loraxx & Lechani stop by on their Classic Case of Oversharing tour.
+ Karaoke with Lucas!
FRI : London based psychedelia and prog rock five-piece FEZ re-release fan-favourite ‘Best Friend’. Joining them at The George Tavern to celebrate will be Doublecream, Zoe Aronson, and a string of guest DJs that will keep you grooving all night long!
SAT : The third chapter of account__unavailable01; an audiovisual experience: An expansive night of emotional rap & experimental dark wave, ft. Harto Falión, Peake, David Katromberg, Heartcoregirl, Bloody Shield, Wisteria, Lost Daughter and 300SkullandCounting.
SUN : SULK's all-dayer (startimg 5pm) consisting of bands, speakers, a market, a raffle and DJs to raise money and awareness for Gaza's food banks. Line-up TBA (it's good).
Big night tonight! Totally SOLD OUT of course. Timings are as follows:
7pm - doors
7:30pm - Jangs
8:20pm - Kaeto
9:45pm - The Last Dinner Party
Speakers in-between.
Thanks to @callie.winch for putting this on 💛
New in-house show just announced next Monday ☀️⛳
'Toronto pagan-punk-poet NYSSA has put her hands into the lion’s mouth, gathering her performing and songwriting powers to conjure the unruly energy of rock n’ roll. Out from under fear’s thumb, NYSSA now sings about wild things, old gods, romance-beyond-borders, and the exorcism of trauma. She has quested, and she has returned.'
Plus sets from Louis O'Hara with band, and Glass Eel 🧊
What's happening over the next few days at the George?!
TONIGHT : A hardcore shoegaze/emo evening with Sanfreshes, Fanchon, Chig and Mishikui,
FRIDAY : TGT presents the infectious pop of Australia-born-European-sun-chaser Holiday Sidewinder, with support from Marlon Hibbert on Steel Pan Drums, a DJ set from Tasty Lopez and the whole thing MC'd by Ash Kenazi.
+ DJs til late.
SATURDAY : Sorority headline with their post industrial nightmare pop, joined by Goodbye Andy debuting their mid western melodic slowcore and Emily Izen Row with band in tow.
+ DJs til late.
SUNDAY : TGT presents a night of alt-pop and indie from Maella, Lukja (BE), Stef Pesic and Sophie Du Ry.
MONDAY : TGT presents more alt-pop, and folk from Nyssa, Louis Ohara and Glass Eel.
