And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Lord Jesus was explaining how difficult it is for them to enter, but continued saying that even so, all things are still possible with God. People only focus on that first half. Dear reader, the bible actually tells us that wealth is a gift from God:Ecclesiastes‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭KJV‬"Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God. For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth him in the joy of his heart.”The bible says that the *love* of money is the root of all evil... not the actual money itself (1 Timothy 6:9-11). Many who love money are willing to do (and do) selfish, hurtful, and evil things in this world to obtain it, and also keep it. But not all rich people are like that. There are rich people who never forget the poor and who actually heed the Lord Jesus's commands/warnings to avoid the traps of this evil world (Matthew 6:19-21)(Matthew 19:21-26). It's all about the heart and God has left sweet encouragment in His book for the rich people of this world that will choose to do well:1 Timothy 6:17-19 KJVCharge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.Yes, God can, does, and has saved rich men... many lives like that are already recorded in the bible.(James 4:2-3)
