The impact he has had on the soundtrack of my life for the last 40 years is immeasurable. Thank you Mr. Albini for making my music listening a much more intense, exciting, whimsical, interesting and ultimately enjoyable experience than it otherwise would have been.

The experience of recording with Steve felt like an incredible privilege and provocation all at once. He was present, made us feel comfortable and at home (literally) teaching me how to cook his tomato sauce on a break from recording Spitboy’s EP. I remember the New Yorker cartoon pinned on the wall of his studio - two aging men with wrinkly tattooed skin- “you were an idiot in the 90’s also!?” lol!! As my tattooed self laughed out loud…he laughed with me.
