I made the mistake of tweeting out a design for my new “Goth Star” shirt, and now I see that it has been bootlegged by seemingly hundreds of crazy websites. I haven’t even got a chance to create this shirt yet! Please don’t buy these. They are dropping with ALIEN BODY soon…. I am however, extremely amused by the crazy artificial intelligence text that goes along with each shirt. I’ve never had something get bootlegged so fast before. The internet is crazy.
This Friday in Brooklyn, I’ll be holding it down all night in the basement of Paragon with the homie, @_promiseland_ . With a KILLER lineup upstairs!! From Resident Advisor: Local rising star LISAS opens the top floor with her perplexingly mesmerizing blends and unique style of spinning that she refers to as “post-apocalyptic arpeggiators meet mermaid synthesis.” Time to get wavy. Then, coming back in the house is Augustus Muller - of dark wave synth pop duo Boy Harsher - who brought a whopping bag of heavy EBM, industrial and techno bangs to the club last time (check out YouTube Live At Paragon video for the proof). Betting this next round comes in just as hot and heavy. Closing the night down is our favorite techno upstarts KYRUH who will come fully loaded with hard-hitting, gritty techno that’ll melt the shoes off your feet. Announcing “THE DISEASE OF ASTONISHMENT”. A series of 6 new paintings. Opening June 20th in NYC at 207 Clinton Street. 6-10pm . In Conjunction with a series of lost photographs of NYC in the early 80’s by James Bloom. The term “disease of astonishment” was used to describe people who were afflicted by symptoms thought to be witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692. If you are in NYC, I’d love to see you there.

A photograph I took of @bigfreedia and one of her dancers in San Diego while on the “Check Yo Ponytail” tour in 2011. During Spank Rock’s performance, some total assholes kept throwing ice onstage from some lame bottle service VIP table area, some people in our crew jumped on them and fight broke out. The club proceeded to stop the show and kick us out of the venue. After we were outside, Big Freedia opened the doors of our van and started blasting bounce music outside the front doors of the venue. it turned in to this gigantic dance party in the street as a big fuck you to the venue who wouldn’t let us perform . It was glorious, punk, and beautiful, and a tour memory I won’t forget.
