It was a pretty wild year for us at Altamira Sound. We’re so proud of the studios we’ve built, and we’re really happy with how busy things have been in the A Room. Having said that, we feel like the B Room has been a bit under-utilized. So we’ve decided that, for the first 6 months of 2023, we’re going to price the B Room outrageously low so that good music is made there all the time. We’ll be charging just $500/day for B Room bookings with one of our in-house engineers! We love working in B, and we’re hoping this opens the door to a bunch of new people this year. Reach out here, or shoot us an email at altamirasound@gmail.com for booking inquiries.
Loving all the space in the Studio A control room! And this API 😛
Sounds real good in here too.

“Margarita” is out now. Go listen and play it on your boat this weekend. All the trophies go to @dougiestu@_meernaa_@bobbykamalino for making it sound like water and @luckytennyson for making it look like wind. Recorded at the beautiful @altamirasound studio in sunny Alhambra. Gorgeous is coming July 19th, with a show July 18th in LA. We’ll be making drinks with umbrellas. Details to come
Happy New Years Everyone from the Altamira Sound partners. It’s been almost 2 years now that we opened our doors to the greater Los Angeles music community, and it’s such an amazing scene to be a part of. 2023 was our first full year with both our A and B room fully open, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of all the magical music recorded here last year.
If you’re ever interested in taking a tour of the space, or thinking about booking some time, drop us a line!

Love leaving a camera in the control room, it’s been a really fun couple of years in here since we opened. Feels good to have some of these forgotten memories unearthed.
This time I made sure to leave the flash on.
Pretty sure @gonathin took the first shot, and @chimneyisme took the one of me and @bridgetkearneymusic
We’re so excited to be adding this Otari 1/4 inch mix down deck to the gear list here. One thing that we’ve all been missing since we moved down to LA is the ability to record and mix a whole record without ever having to open a computer or look at a screen. We’ve found that the process of recording can change in a beautiful way when working in a linear format, which can be really powerful for certain projects. Pair the Otari 2 track with the 24 track Studer and we can make that dream a reality once again! Just mail out a 1/4inch tape to your mastering engineer. Very excited over here.
Dusting off our gig shirts and getting excited to host our first show of the summer on July 23rd. Mark your calendar and come see @string_boys and @emma_ayz 🌸 DM for address
