Today @atelierjupe launches their High Summer collection with a ‘2 in 1’ pattern Billie & Finn and the prettiest summer fabrics 🥰. Yours truly got to choose 2 of them: a pink poplin & large flowers viscose 🙏 ✂️ Shorts: Finn has a very comfy fit, topstitched pockets and an elasticated waistband (in my case only through the back for a flat front waistband). Here’s why: I wanted a divine (Greek) maxi dress with A-line skirt and a pretty neckline so I brainstormed with my teacher Peggy from @atelierplanp - who always has the best advice! I was wearing my Lulu at the time and she suggested starting from Lulu for the top & she helped me figure out the modifications needed. In case you’re wondering: 🪡shorten both front and back by 15 cm & the sleeves by 20 cm 🪡 use the skirt pattern pieces of the #fibremoodtaylor dress 🪡measure so both top and skirt have the same circumference. I took off a few cm at the side seams 🪡 sew together, add elastic to the waist 🪡 cut off excess fabric for a nice curve at the seams of your sleeves 🪡add a belt, and that’s it! #iloveitwhenaplancomestogether Thanks Peggy 💙 for your plan! Tanita 💚 Soooo many options with this gorgeous Fibre Mood fabric from @polytexstoffen I already showed you my Pax trousers, but the fabric makes a perfect top as well! In Fibre Mood 28 you will find the Malia top in this fabric. I chose to make a simplified Tanita from my leftover fabric. Tanita is easy-peasy as it is, but I made it even easy-peasier by omitting the elastic tunnels for the sleeves. I also lengthened the top about 10 cms. The fabric by Polytex is a lightweight woven jacquard (120g/m2) which is perfect for warmer days. It’s a 68% viscose, 18% nylon and 14% linen blend which means it’s soft, breezy and less likely to wrinkle. Erica 🦓 FibreMood Special 3 is an absolute must have if you are looking for the perfect ‘basics’ - such as this Erica. A t-shirt with the perfect fit!
