I’ll be playing out a week from today! This will be my last show in Cincinnati for sometime. We will be heading to Cleveland in just a couple weeks. Lots of packing lately. We’ll be moving soon so most things are getting unplugged and boxed. Some relief stumbling into this borderlands project I left behind. Here I’m diving back into some 3 string dulcimer melodies through borderlands granular on an old iPad. I dig. ✌️
A little morning call and response while Eden had breakfast from the other day. We have had some good days with the doors open recently. You can hear one of our wind chimes if you listen closely.
I’ve been finding a lot of joy sitting with the modular again. Mostly been setting up these more environment based layers. Back to some basics and most importantly having fun! ✌️
Having fun building some dense patches lately. Here I tried to carve away at a piano sample in the modular. Pretty far from the initial loop. All the textured bits pushing and pulling are from a few modulated delay lines. Rainmaker is responsible for the filter shaping. I really like when all the final layers stem from the same source.🍃🌿
I’m laying out some old lines in this one. SH101 with the slow rolling melody. Juno 6 on the lower end stasis.
A lot of the texture towards the end comes from an aux send of that combo running through a band pass filter-> moog ring mod/phaser-> delays.
This one is long but if you make it to the end it totally evaporates. 🍃🌿
I’ve been driving to the park with the windows down listening to Boards of Canada lately. It got me to setup the keyboards for the first time in a bit. This is a Juno 6 with processing from my main delay rig. ✌️🌿🍃
