I was rained out of the ability to work outside maintaining the green spaces at Noyes Park for the Milwaukee County Parks system this morning/afternoon, so that means I’m twiddling around, getting situated for a performance I’ll be doing as my experimental electronic music project adoptahighway coming up this Friday, June 10th, 2022, a mere 54 hours and 17 minutes from the time of this writing.
This is a snippet of a moment I found myself in earlier, improvising with synthesized and non-synthesized sounds in addition to manipulating projected visuals.
It would mean a lot to all involved if you are in the Milwaukee area this Friday 6/10 and joined us at @companybrewing beginning at 9:00pm. We’ll be celebrating the newly published “Illustrated Old Testament” by @samrobertsonart (via @1111press )
In addition to whatever the hell I end up doing, there will be musical performances from @astral_hand and @mortgagefreeman . Sam will also be presenting his visual art, taking audience questions, and previewing the performance art piece tied into this years-long creative endeavor of painting 250+ modern interpretations of verses from the King James edition of the Old Testament from the Holy Bible.
I’ll have a bunch of records and things from past iterations/releases as adoptahighway. These things have been sitting in various boxes and storage receptacles in my house for years, and I don’t want them there anymore, so I’ll be offering all of my merch pay-as-you-wish, anywhere from $0.00 up to a blank check you have signed and/or unfettered access to your credit card information.

A small snippet of the gorgeous music that took place inside @cactusclubmke last night. @rosno@andfitzpatrick and @thomaswincek (L to R) provided an excellent salve with their sonic explorations. I admire everybody in this video and find inspiration in all of their creative outputs, including @golden_bookay and @adumbkrause in the foreground, who also provided an excellent set of music to open the evening. It feels good and I feel lucky to call them all friends.

I was working on a piece that I included directions to play flautando and sul ponticello so here’s an improv utilizing some of that technique. This one goes out to the haters who say “don’t you wish you played the flute?”
