One of my favorite things that I have come to see happen in the music scene over the last few years is watching someone become an artist. Immediately, I have to say, this is not coming from a perspective of “veteran or senior artist” but just from a peer perspective.
It is really cool to watch someone pop up, seemingly out of nowhere, which is never true, and start making folks notice what they are doing in a very sincere manner. In that come up, the journey of “finding your voice” starts. We all have a voice and we think we know what it is when we start writing our first songs and playing our first shows and writers nights, but it isn’t really until you put it under the microscope of recording do we get to really see what our voice might be at the moment at the cellular level. The most important thing is that voice is allowed to change over time as a reflection of the person’s growth and maturity.
That journey has been happening for
@caileentallantmusic and I am so excited for her first offering of work into the recorded space. I had nothing to do with it, have no clue what the process was like for her, but I am sure she has had fun looking through that microscope to figure out a little more about herself. I have enjoyed watching as a peer, and am honored to share in the single release show celebration with her and
