It’s been quite a journey getting here, but I’m so grateful to share that @bentkneemusic is releasing our new album “Twenty Pills Without Water” on August 30 from @takethistoheartrecords ! So much went into this record, and I’m so proud of @vince.welch and everything he put into this to see the project to fruition. We owe so much to @scottsiskind for creating the visual landscape which ended up anchoring the many stories and moods of the album into one beautiful and twisted whole. The first single “Illiterate” is out today, featuring WRIPPING PURFORMANCES from our sweet friends @asherkurtz_music , @beachpete , @tessasingsongs , @blackmamba_jy , and @gilliangallagher114 . Fun photos from Minneapolis! I was a little nervous when @chasebliss asked me to do a first impressions video for Onward; I really didn’t touch the pedal at all until we started filming! But it was all smiles the whole time, because Onward is a beaut and Courtney, Zack, and Joe are such sweet humans 🫶🏼 The “Onward on vocals!” video is out now and you can find it linked in my stories 😊✨ Thank you for bringing us another inspiring instrument, Chase Bliss!

Our good friend @chourtkneey stopped by last week to check out Prismatic Wall! Here’s a snippet of the two of us improvising with it, plus the new @chasebliss Onward. (Which I’m obsessed with, more on that later.) I’m playing Prismatic Wall with MIDI notes while Courtney sings, and Onward is adding a sub-octave sustain with some glitches and movement. Also in the mix: Surveyor for grit (very good on vocals btw) and my trusty @bondieffects Squish As to keep the feedback in check. It’s good folks.

Blooper only improv (but wearing Mood shirt) 🦥 I didn’t understand the Repeats knob very well for the first few years I had the Blooper, but I’ve come to really appreciate it for creating textures that are loosely in time. It’s also a nice way to create space in a loop when it starts to feel too busy.
