Join us NEXT FRIDAY, July 12, at Union Hall for a morning with local leader Missy Spears.
Missy is a political satirist and Type-A spreadsheet lover who uses humor and mockery to further civic engagement. She’s Executive Director of Queer Kentucky, a nonprofit that uses the power of storytelling to impact Queer health and culture, serves as the Board of Directors co-President for the Kentucky Civic Engagement Table, sits on Community Advisory Boards for the Cincinnati Art Museum & WCPO, and serves on alum/member committees for Emerge Kentucky and the Metropolitan Club.
Her community projects have included trying to build a wall between Covington and Newport (to keep drugs out), “Cut Your Balls off Covington,” a feral cat TNR program, and co-founding the COVunity Free Fridge program in Covington. She once told dirty jokes at an awards dinner attended by Governor Andy Beshear (he was not a fan).
We can’t wait to hear what Missy brings to her CreativeMornings talk, and we don’t shy away from a dirty joke. 😉 Tickets are available NOW (link in bio).

Join us for 🎨crafts, 🍻crafts, and 💬chats, while we share our creativity in a safe and welcoming space.
Bring an unfinished project, something fun you want to start, or come just as you are and we’ll have fun supplies for you to craft with!
Need some ideas? We’ve got you!
• Make a friendship bracelet for a friend you haven’t seen in a while
• Draw your to-do or grocery list
• Sketch the person sitting across from you
• Put paint on paper and mix colors around, just because!
• Make some progress on that knitting project you’ve been wanting to finish
• Make a vision board for what you want the rest of the summer to look like
