Guitarist extraordinaire Adrian Belew, Jerry Harrison, and an 11-person band perform music from Talking Heads’ landmark 1980 album Remain in Light at Bogart’s on July 26. Belew has also played with Frank Zappa, David Bowie, King Crimson, and Cincinnati-based The Bears. Now 74, he stays busy with several simultaneous touring projects; he’ll also be at Taft Theatre on October 26 as part of a group playing King Crimson’s 1980s music. He speaks with us about his upcoming Bogart’s show as well as the history of his Talking Heads involvement at the link in bio! 📸Courtesy Remain in Light

On the last Saturday of each month, head to the Madison Theater in Covington to get your own pair of light-up headphones, tune into one of three DJ stations, and dance the night away on your own terms. Dayton-based DJs KimL, Sexbox, and John Chapel, along with Level Up Productions, have brought their wildly successful silent disco to the Queen City. This Youtuber thinks Cincinnati is an underrated city. Local fans of @quintonreviews were in for a delightful surprise when at the five hour and fifteen minute mark of “The Decay of Sam and Cat,” the creator stopped to talk about how much he loves Cincinnati. “I love a city where it feels like you can never run out of stupid museums that you’ve never gone to,” raved the reviewer. Of course to Quinton, calling a museum “stupid” is the highest form of flattery. Union Terminal, Jungle Jim’s, and especially the American Sign Museum all received shout-outs in this six and a half hour long video with 1.8 million views. What sets Pinball Garage (@pinballgarage ) apart from other pinball arcades? Its atmosphere: It’s family friendly. Yes, there’s a bar and a full menu with a from-scratch kitchen. But the arcade is also great for parents and kids. The party room has been rented for everything from birthdays to baby and bridal showers. The beloved Mr. Gene's Dog House in South Cumminsville has served locals since 1962. The Mr. Gene in question is Gene Kuester, a local legend who had a tiny prefab building hauled to South Cumminsville to serve ice cream and hot dogs during the summer months. Over the years, the little business grew into a big part of the community, with its proprietor evolving into an essential presence in the neighborhood. Read more at the link in bio! 📸Megan Waddel
