Shibori Butterflies: a #stitching experiment made possible by @ritdye DyeMore dyes for synthetic fibers. The fabric is a blend of viscose and polyester, and to make sure that the synthetic fibers will take up the dye, I used the #ritdye DyeMore in Midnight Navy. The results exceeded my expectations. The color is a rich deep blue, and provided a range of shades. And the original color of the fabric stayed undyed for full contrast of color. #tiedye #tiedyefashion

Something new coming soon. Working on an online course with @nyk_learn Entering a new world and dealing with this change in medium was challenging, thrilling, mind-boggling and eye-opening all at once. All last week was a whirlwind of juggling new skills. I learned tons. Made lots of mistakes. Failed and fell; got up, recovered and did it again. If you are thinking of trying a new skill, making better life choices, moving out of patterns of behavior that no longer serve you, then the start of the change is most challenging. My love for fabric is deep. I have been saving this delicious @fabricsstorecom linen for 2 years before finally making this #selfdrafted bib-tank. There was a lot of bias binding involved in the making of these straps. This sand-beige color is not what I usually wear, but the texture of it is out-of-this-world. Sewing tool highlight: this loop turner from @prym.consumer is life-changing. It’s basically a tube and a stick: a contraption that can be probably be improvised with a large Boba or Bubble Tea straw, and a chopstick.
