Have you ever heard of the a'dungu, a harp-like instrument from Africa? 🎶
AHS board member Susie Spiwak contributed this harp spotting, writing, "At O'hare airport, spotted a group of similarly dressed people from Uganda carrying stringed instruments reminiscent of harps. Upon querying, they explained that they are a group of musicians, having visited and performed in Chicago for the past month, are now heading home. Their instrument is harp-like and called a'dungu. A'dungus come in a variety of sizes, loosely understood as soprano, alto, tenor and base. This photo is of a smaller a'dungu."
Thanks, Susie!
