Post-Race Recovery Struggles! 🏃♂️
Three days after my first half marathon, and I’m still sore despite all the stretching and massage gun sessions. But I’m committed to my training! With 16 weeks until the Long Beach half marathon, I started my recovery run with some dynamic stretching.
The first mile was tough—stiff ankles and slow cadence. I dropped my pace to 13 min/mile, way below the Runna app’s suggestion. By mile 3, my legs started loosening up, and by mile 4, the pain dropped from a 7/10 to a 3/10.
