Recently I’ve been interested in the idea of ‘collective memory’ in photography. I guess it’s the idea that 2 or more people can photograph the same thing, perhaps at the same time, and together those pictures create a collective memory of that moment. I like seeing the relationship between the pictures, and the idea that two people can have a shared vision that is never quite the same. My friend Tim recently shared a picture that I knew I had also taken, so I figured this is a good opportunity to illustrate/explore the concept.
