I stand by this. People often underestimate the “funny” character, relegating them to clowns. Although I am VERY funny, I would never willingly play a buffoon. Ava keeps the ship upright, always knows what’s going on, often has what may be surprising, ( to people who don’t know savvy women like her) words of wisdom for everyone ( including the all knowing Barbara). Her rapport with the kids in the school and her ability to know just the right times to mind her business shows that she is a multifaceted, layered character and that’s what keeps her interesting to me. So definitely keep laughing! Comedy is hard. But also pay attention. 😘 #abbottelementary
