night in schodack. Acrylic on collaged paper. 2024. . This piece is a continuation of my Excavation series. This summer I’ve been working on some small pieces and incorporating text into the layers. . This will be on view tomorrow in NYC at @theblanc_ny . If you’re in the city, come through. It’ll be a good show.

June 12th. Lithograph. 2024. . My creative time and energy has recently been focused on a series of lithograph prints I made with @thomasjlogan . . The prints originate from drawings I was making in the spring. These charcoal and marker drawings were my attempts to simplify and illustrate spaces that I had experienced (the drawing is the last slide). Thomas and I worked together to translate the drawings to prints, using the flexibility of lithography to experiment with different layering and mark making. . If you are interested in purchasing a print, shoot me a message.

Going to Meet the Man. Oil on found board. 2024. . I’ve made two paintings of books I found in Alfred, NY. These are the last works I’m painting before my show this weekend. Stop by if you’re in Alfred, NY.

your love is powerful too. Acrylic and oil on canvas and paper. 2024. . This painting is a portrait of a dear friend of mine that I met through the painting program at Alfred. The reference photo comes from my first semester here, so this work spans my two year experience in the @alfredpainting program. The collaged paper in this painting were sourced from both Alfred and Düsseldorf, and much of the paper came from my friend who let me use some of his dyed paper in this painting. This painting incorporates a Caspar David Friedrich postcard, a Rainer Maria Rilke poem, and a still from a Truffaut film. . Come see this at my thesis exhibition, Memories Can’t Wait, Objects Can’t Die, opening April 20th in Turner Gallery on the campus of @alfreduniversity .

Memories Can’t Wait. Objects Can’t Die. . Opening April 20, 6-8 pm. . . You know how the most vivid memories pop into your head at the most random times? You know how the objects that surround us seem to live lives of their own? This exhibition is about that. . . My MFA Thesis Exhibition is in a week! The opening will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 6-8 pm in the Turner Gallery at @alfreduniversity . I will give a gallery talk the following Tuesday, April 23 at 12:30 pm EST. Please DM me if you cannot make it in person but would like to join the livestream. . I have designed and hand printed posters for my show. These are woodblock prints that combine elements of the two bodies of work I am presenting: the Excavations and the Readymades. If anyone would like a poster, just lmk. . @alfredpainting @arts_at_alfred

i was in teaching mode, gesticulating wildly, and claire snapped some bitchin photos. Acrylic and oil on canvas. 2024 . I shared this piece in progress on my story the other day, after I painted the green, oil portion and before I did the excavating. It’s gotta be one of my favorites. Thanks @1clur1

again i found myself in the room with my soul left out, room that does not care. Acrylic on canvas. 2024. . My thesis exhibition, Memories Can’t Wait, Objects Can’t Die, is coming up in a week and a half. The work is mostly done but I’m making a few extra pieces just in case. . This work relates to a Bruce Nauman installation at the Hamburger Banhof that I was able to experience for the second time almost exactly a year ago. The first time I experienced it was during the fall of 2015 while I was living in Berlin.
