I’ve enjoyed taking photos for a really long time. And I’ve thought about buying a legit camera for literal years, but I always found reasons to not do it: it’s too much money, I’m not a ‘real’ photographer, I’m not good enough/creative enough, etc., etc. Well a few months back I finally bought one, and I’m really enjoying learning how to use it and learning more about photography in general. Is my overly critical brain still telling me all the reasons why I shouldn’t be doing this? Yep. And chances are it will for a long time, maybe forever. But I’m choosing to not let it keep me from enjoying this for what it is - just something that I enjoy. It doesn’t need to be anything more than that. I told a friend the other day that if you enjoy something, make time for it. So this is me taking a dose of my own medicine. All this to say, I’m going to start sharing more photos on here. And I hope you’ll enjoy them, but ultimately I’m doing this for me. But I still hope you’ll enjoy them. And if you’re not making time for something that you enjoy doing because you’re not “whatever enough” at it, do it anyway. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I hope you experienced as much growth as my facial hair over the past decade. Here’s to 2020.

Seriously great weekend with some equally great people. I bought an Amish hat. Gabe’s hat just laughed at it.

Finally got around to seeing the Tree of Light up close when I was home for Christmas. I love how light can totally transform structures and spaces.

#tbt I can’t believe it’s been this long, but a year ago today I started an amazing 2 week trip that took me to a handful of different cities, but started and ended in Dublin. There were far too many photos to pick 10 for Ireland, let alone the whole trip, but I’ll start here... Ireland. It’s a magical place, go if you get the chance. Dublin. Galway. Glendalough. Aran Islands, Inis Oírr. Cliffs of Moher.
