Photograph.
Every genre, every mood, every style, with every filter, with every technique, with any camera, everywhere. Photograph till you fail many many more times than you succeed at what you set out to achieve. Don't be afraid to make something that's already been made, don't be afraid to make your own choices, don't obsess with perfection, don't shy away from imperfections. Fly a drone, try a cheap lens, try an expensive lens, stop down, open up, slow down, speed up, try that ISO you've been so worried about. Listen to your inner voice. Make photos. Make photos till that voice speaks up and you can hear it just slightly above the cacophony of social media, "inspirations", business, and "competition". Remember why you started. Make art. Make art till it (ever so slowly) starts to become a reflection of you. Count your blessings. The friends you made, the world you saw, the goosebumps you got by clicking that shutter, and the people who chose you to make a photo of them. Curate your art. Curate till you find yourself in your art, till you hear that voice buried away under the many myriad "trends" and spotlights of today.
But, create. Everyday.
If you love photography today, the least you can do is create some photos. Be a photographer, and ditch all the appendages before that word. Words that put you in boxes and force you to think within the confines of that box - words like wedding, wildlife, landscape, editorial, fashion, journalism and so on and on. Be a photographer. And make some photos. Create. I wish you a long journey in this path, and at the end, I hope you find yourself.
Today is World Photography Day apparently, and I've never done a post about this. But in these mad times, it's a great time to thank the one art that keeps me up at night - even after 20 years of being with a camera. 😁
I don't often wear this jersey, the last was in 2017 for the CT Final. But tonight, I'm grinning because this great game won.
In the last 5 years we had the 2019 ODI World Cup final, 2024 T20 World Cup final.
And of course,
The fall of Gabba,
Stokes' 135*
Perera's 153*
And much more.
For all its flaws, cricket is going through a golden era. The true winner tonight.
And of course, GO TEAM BLUE!! Let this be the beginning of your juggernaut.

We at Stories have had the MOST memorable weekend in Bodrum witnessing the union of Dhrisha, Arun, and their incredible families. I'm not one to be short of words for a caption, ever, but am a bit overwhelmed. 😁 For once, I'll let the photos do the talking, so you guys can get a small glimpse of what we experienced. Authentic, wholesome, and heartfelt, was this wedding in a nutshell.

8th June 2024 - The day I married my best friend, my inspiration, my muse, my everything. We spent 3 days having the absolute time of our lives - we laughed, danced and sung our hearts out with the people we love, and I'll share all of it when we get the footage
For now though, just know that we're sitting in a hotel together, beaming from ear to ear, filled with contentment and so excited for the rest of our lives together.
Also I have never met photographers as warm-hearted and talented as @josephradhik@storiesbyjosephradhik and his team ❤️
