Sew much math 🪡🧵🖥️ When I tell people I wish I had more time to sew, they usually look confused and assume I get to sew all day... But I don't. 🥲 In reality I spend most my working hours sitting at my computer. Drafting, grading, and selling sewing patterns involves so much math, rechecking the math, then rechecking again anytime you make a tiny change to the pattern 🙃 The fun parts of choosing a design and sewing it take the least amount of time! Last weekend My husband and I went on a day date to a Rangers game ⚾ I couldn't find the red tank I wanted (guessing it's hidden somewhere in my daughter's room 🤣) so I quickly made a new red #wrenleypattern crop to wear before we left for the game. It's so quick to sew up and a summer staple for me. I love the crop and romper versions and wear them both all the time! I didn't get any great pictures of it at the game, but I'll be wearing it all summer! #madeformermaidspatterns

This version is the low back mini dress. Instead of hemming it, I did a lettuce hem. The entire dress (bindings, construction and hem) was completed on my @berninausa L890.

Who else thinks they need to sew an entire new wardrobe for vacation?!? 🙋♀️🤣
My husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary with a trip in a few weeks. We are taking a backpack only and the airline has a weight limit... So I was on the hunt for lightweight, wrinkle resistant fabrics 🤞 I was pleasantly surprised with what I ended up finding, usually my Joann has very a sad and tiny apparel section! However I've now waited so long to start, I don't really have time to order fabric from my usual indie stores. 😫🥲
I ended up with 23 yards of fabric, 4 yards of lining, 8 buttons, 8 zippers, and 12 serger threads.... I did buy more fabric than I needed bc I'm starting from scratch (without even a pattern😬) on most things I want to make, so I'm going to need to muslin it all!
What do you think I spent?? Guess below ✈️
