Did you know I’m doing long form YouTube now? This clip is from my recent upload where I outline 5 ways for performers to build resilience. In the category of optimism, my actionable suggestion is to try a gratitude practice - but not one with the same over-used stuff. We should be able to cultivate specific gratitude for everyday things, like I do for a simple camera lens in my example. It’s worth trying!

This idea is something that I began to observe inside myself before learning that there’s really something to it. Looking for that one thing to finally make us happy, or finally stop making us sad, rarely turns out the way we expect. Instead, I think we can each take more responsibility for our internal state… which is the one that counts.
