Create a stylish skirt with exposed seam ruffles! Here are some tips:
Use a pattern with gathered strips or make your own👇.
Before sewing the strips together overlock one edge of each strip and finish the other edge with a rolled hem. On the last/bottom strip finish both sides with a rolled hem. I use @mettler_thread Seracor as overlocker thread, a couple of shades darker than the fabric for a subtle contrast.
Gather the top of each strip before attaching them. For gathering, I use a contrasting black Seralon thread, that makes it easier to remove.
Attach the strips not by facing right sides, but by overlaying them.
To make it easy mark or sew a guide line 2 cm from the bottom of the top layer. I use a Silk-Finish Cotton thread in the same color as the skirt. This way you can leave the guideline stitching (or use a bigger stitch to remove them later)
Align the top of the next strip with this guide line, and sew at 1 cm using the same thread. Repeat!

Sarah from @atelier.miinsa has completed a beautiful upcycling project by transforming a cherished family memento – an old towel – into a practical and stylish travel bag 🥰😍
For sewing she has used our SERALON threads🧵from her thread case.
To give the bag its traditional value back, she embroidered a personalized dedication on it ❤️
Instead of taking her towel to the beach 🏖️ or swimming pool 🌊, she will now take this beautiful bag with her to store all her swimming items 👙🧴
Sarah has certainly made her father very happy with this! 🤗🥰❤️

Relax 😌
Olga from @matroschka_handmade has created her first pair of self-sewn jogging pants, complete with all the trimmings 👖🥰
The trousers have an embroidered motif with the word “relax” on the leg, which is embroidered with our shiny ✨ POLY SHEEN thread 🧵 and finished with a fluffy wool thread.
For giving the pants more comfort, Olga has incorporated an elastic waistband with a drawstring to regulate the fit 💪🏻
She used our SERAFLEX elastic thread 🧵 for sewing and our SERACOR thread 🧵 for the overlock seams to ensure durability and flexibility 🥰
