Thank you @avalochfarmmusicinstitute for an unforgettable week of music making, exploration, friendship, excellent food and a whole lot of shenanigans. A few more memories from the week! We are excited about the future of our collaboration with the incomparable @msalkindpearl ! We'll be back in July for @composers_conference and we cannot wait!! See you soon, Avaloch! 😎🎷🎻

rip to an incredible one Utterly uncompromising, an artist of totally clear conviction, something I can’t say I want for myself but which I so admire in someone whose vision was so refined and rarefied. Contemporary music would (likely does) broadly disdain his exercises in scale and effort and specificity and refusal to compromise. Thank you for making such powerfully immediate and visceral work.

We closed out our debut concert with the first piece that was written for us, "Lines and Traces of Desire" by @msalkindpearl We also recorded it last September and it will be included on an upcoming album of Mischa's cimbalom music. We can't wait to share that recording with you but in the meantime here's the 4th movement 🩵🩵🩵

Had an incredible 24 hours in New York, hearing @rhythmethod4tet perform an incredibly thoughtful and personal program of their own music, as well as a modest contribution of my own. Visited a few of my favorite spots. I cannot recommend strongly enough the Whitney’s exhibit of Ruth Asawa’s works on paper. Please please go.
