I’m very excited to announce I’ll be bringing my quartet to @nostalgiawineandjazz on Wednesday March 20, but this time we’ll be opening things up for a jam session after the house set!! This will be an opportunity for musicians interested in honing their craft to do so in front of a live audience. If you’re musician, bring your axe. If you’re a fan of good music, bring a friend. I’ve had some downtime since the school year wrapped up to rest, but now it’s back right back to it with a busy month ahead with a lot of gigs I’m looking forward to. Kicking off the month playing the pre show at @memorialhallotr for the great @ravicoltranemusic with my quartet featuring @brtweedt , Cadence Okuwobi, and @phillipt85 . I’ve been having a hard time trying to find the right way to describe my show this past Friday, but the word that keeps crossing my mind is “grateful”. Grateful to all of the musicians in particular @whitakerodney1 for putting their artistry on display. Grateful to @khartscenter and @lgentry266 for helping me facilitate and put on this event. And lastly, grateful to my students for truly shining that night and inspiring me to become a better teacher and musician. I couldn’t have hoped for a better end to one of my favorite years of teaching and playing. Here’s to many more 🥂🎺
