These snakebites from some weeks ago. I didn't like the photo initially, and then I remembered that she said they felt amazing and despite sometimes a piercing looking a little red or irritated immediately after is only due to the client's skin sensitivity. It goes away within hours. They do look so cute on her!

There is a brief intense shocking sensation, but I have been told that I am effortlessly smooth and quick throughout the entire process and it was far less scary than they anticipated. Does it hurt?
A little, like maybe a 3 out of 10, but most say it's like a brief pinch, with intense pressure, followed by a warm and mild stinging sensation. The piercing takes just a second, with a jewelry transfer and beading adding another 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Within a few minutes that subsides to just warmth and most rook piercings do not get bumped around a lot, so any pain or tenderness usually is gone within a few days. Motrin or ibuprofen usually helps if it's sore from sleeping.
How long does it take to heal?
You'll need to downsize your jewelry in 6-8 weeks depending on your healing and anatomy (sometimes even at 4 weeks) but it's not "healed" quite yet. Six months to one year is typical before it'd be safe to remove and leave out for a few minutes. That said, you're only really going to need saline solution and qtips to remove any debris or buildup from the jewelry and surrounding tissue twice a day for 3-4wks, or as needed, and maintained regularly for life.
What kind of jewelry can I get?
This is a 16g 3/8 inch polished titanium internally threaded curved piece with ball beads to provide the quickest and least problematic path toward healed.
(That's the fastest way to cute jewelry!)
At 4-8 weeks we can do something smaller and more blingy if you like!
A curved bar with pretty gems, hinged hoop anodized to any color you like, horseshoe with spikey ends, or a clicker with rows of diamonds is just a few of many options that could occupy this healed piercing!
What else do I need to know?
With all piercings there are risks. All puncture wounds will bleed a little, cannot be submerged for some weeks (no swimming!), can get infected with neglect or exposure to microbials, and can be irritated causing additional fluid to seep, and/or get trapped and potentially cause the dreaded BUMP, etc. We'll go over all of it in detail.

Always working on a little flow and trying to be more loose and bend these knees and hips more in between drills.
Flowing to move from one position to the next with a proper transition in between. The structure of each move and competency with it determines the smoothness of the flow.
I have so much to learn, but I feel home on skates dancing to a good beat.
The ones always trying to force their unsolicited NON-Advice while I'm clearly working drills are really starting to crack me up. You put your weight where now? 🤔😘😂 OH, you dunno? How does that help, then? Smh just mind ya own skating. I got THE teacher I need and a handful of very smart, very good skaters right in front of me. Don't embarrass yourself if you don't know someone's journey! Focus on your own!
Trying to record myself every practice so I don't hate being recorded so much. Performance anxiety is so awful and I still see a 300lbs person there. I almost forgot the phone was sitting there but also was exhausted working drills. I love this beat so much and my new skates feel much more versatile and I'm still learning how to really use them.
