Alleluia! Queen Jesus, the Liberator and Lover of our souls is Risen! Happy belated Trans Day of Visibility and Easter. May all trans people be held this day and always in divine protection against the forces of fear that would keep you small and hidden. You are angels among us, containing multitudes, the embodiment of transcendence.

Sophia: Holy Wisdom of God
“Wisdom has built her house,
she has hewn her seven pillars.
She has slaughtered her animals,
she has mixed her wine,
she has also set her table.
She has sent out her servant-girls, she calls
from the highest places in the town,
“You that are simple, turn in here!”
To those without sense she says,
“Come, eat of my bread
and drink of the wine I have mixed.
Lay aside immaturity, and live,
and walk in the way of insight.”
-Proverbs 9:1-6
Based off this 15th century Russian icon. The enthroned angel image of Sophia, Wisdom of God is known as the “Novgorod” type because it first appeared in the northern trading city of Novgorod in the 15th century. It is the most commonly seen image of Sophia. Mary approaches one side and John the Baptist, the forerunner, on the other. The one traditional thing I didn’t include were the seven pillars cuz I ran out of room 🤷
