Featuring Kaoru Ijima's portrait of Sakamoto as well as numerous elements from the original gatefold LP artwork designed by Yukimasa Okumura, and 2 small illustrations from Sakamoto himself. Project realised with the generous help of @wewantsounds , where you can pick up a copy of Ongaku Zukan. Note that as is the nature of all bespoke offset printing processes, very minor imperfections occur throughout the edition and colour layers align slightly differently on each individual print, so there is a variation in feel throughout the edition. We’ve been invited by the legend Charles Hayward to join this all star lineup at @thealbanyse8 30th March - @chris_sharkey_music - Evan Parker - @yoni.silver - Tooth Adderly aka @docjohnsonslovepotions - DJ on the night is big man @kwake.bass Sound activist and musician Charles Hayward returns with his popular evening of music that pushes at the edges of the new, challenging the already known, questioning frontiers and embracing divergent energies. This time around, the line-up includes: Coma World, Event and Tooth Adderly with the legendary Kwake Bass on the DJ decks. Coma World is a collaboration between Betamax of The Comet is Coming, Pete Bennie of Speakers Corner Quartet and graphic and sound artist Raimund Wong. They create rhythmically enlightened Dystopian Jazz, and Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6 Music described their track ‘Calamari’ from the new album as “my favourite track right now… Love it.” Event is a new project from Evan Parker, Chris Sharkey, Yoni Silver and Charles Hayward, bringing together a diversity of approach and sound in an exultant and engaging interaction. Tooth Adderly is a group of young players led by Sarah Downie doing her fresh songs in imaginative and evocative arrangements. New pop for the new now.
