Double celebration ? Has to be at London s legendary #Ducasse at the Dorchester. Its the brilliant and beautiful #XantheClay s birthday. Its a joy to meet her dapper Doctor husband. We celebrate the gorgeous #StephanieSain s wedding anniversary and send Sameer Sain virtual wishes as he is due back after his urgent international business meetings. Two years ago on this very same day they got married in the most fairytale of a wedding ever in LakeComo (Mauro Colagreco and Dave Pynt) cooked up starred wedding meals. Today aptly enuf we celebrate at the three Michelin starrred temple to gastronomy. I’ve been dining here ever since it opened and wrote about it multiple times when .” GOD HAS COME TO LONDON” swooned some critics “prices are insane” carped others. The Patrick Jouin-designed room with it’s cloud, surrounded by a luminiscient oval curtain is one of the highlights of the main table here. Hermes China, Saint Louis crystal glimmer. The brilliant young chef #JeanPhillipeBlondet who also cooked at another iconic Ducasse restaurant LE LOUIS XV (where I filmed my TV show too) conjures magic here too. A quick whiff of it... Hand-dived scallop from Scotland citrus beurre blanc and Kristal caviar #JPBlondets dish aa superb as ever. He uses only the best seasonal products Green asparagus from Wye Valley, kumquat condiment and Ivy House Farm whole milk et al To celebrate his 10 years anniversary, Jean-Philippe created a new lobster dish aartichoke, shiso and truffle. And then ofcourse Ducasse s famous vegetable #cookpot which I’ve enjoyed in all his restaurants but JPBlondets is the best version. Several dishes starting with an array of delicate amuse Bouche ending with a flurry of mignardise. Intense chocolate dessert. A special cake for Xanthe and another for Stephanie and Sameer Sain. The affable GM Luca Virgilio joins in to wish the two ladies. Kudos for the perfectly orchestrated service and the ever smiling brilliant chef JPBlondet.

This legandary almost a century old legend #THEDORCHESTER london continues to.dazzle. I’ve return to it after a gap.of a few years to find it refurbished yet retaining it’s soul. Starting with the iconic breakfast with the dynamo GM Luca Virgilio, to the champagne in the promenade with the lovely Katherine Drew & Charles Drew, to the light bites in the #SPATISSERIE ...its all one happy dream. The 9th executive chef Mario.Perreira from Srilanka takes super care as we meet with Wendy Bunce for Sense International. At lunch we celebrate #NeilBhullars birthday with IanBhullat & Walter At the very British #Thegrill where TomBooton excels himself. A pop.into the patisserie and flower shop ...and there’s dinner at the 3 michelin starred #AlainDucasse where chef Jean Phillipe Blondet dazzles as we celebrate XantheClays birthday and StephanieSains anniversary...Watch this space. note: thanks LucaVirgilio and thanks #FrancoisDelahaye COO of the Dorchester Collection for my dazzling Dorchester day and many days. Wonderful to catch up with the charming and brilliant multitalented Diwan Gautam Anand, Ranveer Brar, Sheetal Sadana, chef Manisha Bhasin ...had to rush to catch a flight. BLESSED WITH THE BEST...in LOS ANGELES.  Grateful for the timely medical care from the brilliant empathetic, multi-talented doctor Joe Taravella. Its my day of expressing gratitude today... to Dr Kirk Chang of Cedars Sinai  for being super helpful, to all the Doctors at Cleveland Clinic Ohio a couple of years ago, to Dr Grobmyer and Dr Jallad of Cleveland Clinic Abudhabi and Dr Slocum at Chemothermia Istanbul. To godfather Leo Chu in LA, to Deepika Grandhi and to Sameer Sain for rescuing me with his private jet to Cleveland Clinic. EPIC COLLAB @MasqueRestaurant x @Jont_DC 📍Washington D.C. Its great to cheer our #Indiancuisine as it not only shines on the global stage and #Masque is crowned #74 @theworlds50best in Las vegas but it's also in demand internationally for collabs. As I was researching and writing for #IndiaTodaySpice on #indiancuisine on the global stage i make a special dash down flight from NYC to get a taste of Masque’s first ever collaboration on American shores, the brilliant Chefs @R_Ratino and @VarunTotlani created magic together for a memorable dinner. And the other fab exciting surprise too is thar i get invited to @minibarbyjose And that too on @chefjoseandres #chefstable What an epic collab it was; Michelin two-starred restaurant Jont Washington DC, helmed by the super talented charming Chef Ryan Ratino s 16-seat chef's counter was packed. Hugely popular for their innovative, Japanese-influenced tasting menu. Known for its luxurious ingredients and meticulous preparation, Jônts intimate, high-end dining experience has been showered with awards Masque crowned " Indias best restaurant ' by Asias 50 best has been making global waves with its ingredient-driven restaurant powered by the high octane couple Aditi and Aditya Dugar. Led by head chef Varun Totlani, the restaurant’s 10-course tasting menus marry tradition and innovation; as the seasons change, so do the menus, defined by ingredients from the restaurant’s farm, foraging trips and a network of local farmers. The Epic collab with its ingredient-forward menus flagged off with small bites. Balance of flavor and texture & innovation too: Spot Prawns & Celtuce Tamagoyakis; Wagyu Tartare, Mugimite, Kombu; Corn Masala Papad with Uni and even Puranpoli Amti with Kaluga! It was an explosion of flavours: Jicama ‘Momos’ to Kinmedai. Sweet finale of ended with a flourish of Cacao and Sea Buckthorn Popsicles. A pleasure to catch up with the super helpful k globe trotting Gourmand Jhonatan @memoriesofagourmand chef Ratino & supercaring and dreamtean. CRICKET AND CUISINE: INDIA DAZZLES I confess. I’m not a cricket fan. But here I was in NYC on ythe very day of the Indian cricket win against Pakistan and like everyone else, I was completely bowled over. For more than one reason. Ofcourse, this is the very first time that NYC has hosted a cricket match and more than 35000 people turned up for it. Sending seismic waves of joy India is reigning supreme in more ways than one Our golden hearted superachiever, chef, author, film maker, philanthropist Vikas Khanna’s three month old restaurant has been topping the charts and breaking records, booking are snapped up within 60 seconds of opening the reservations. Ive been personally witness to this and watched NYC eating out of his hands. Vikas is serving up authentic, Indian food, some with a creative tweak, some traditional and many a home recipe too…tasty and memorable! Generous portions no gimmicks. And it is a winner! Culinary history is being made as much as cricket history. Having been to both, the cricket match and Vikas Khanna’s new restauant, Karambir Kang, the dynamo head of the Taj hotels, North America joins in the celebration. SPORTS STADIUM SNACKS: WINNERS Even the New yorker chef author Michael Mignano is celebrating it all, including the first time ever cricket held in NYC. He’s doing so by creating typical NY sports stadium food. And in honor of cricket coming to NY infusing Indian flavors into it. Michael even breaks into song: the iconic song written in 1908 about American sports snacks... “take me out to the ball game” Michael has authored two definitive books on food and has been a fan of Indian food and spices and introduced them in many of his menus. Today’s unique celebratory dishes created by him are executed by the gifted chef Ravinder Kumar. Both Vikas and Karmbir discuss the “wagah border” moment of the cricket match which “gave me goosebumps” says Vikas as we taste our way through Michael’s unqiue stadium snacks. THE PIERRE continues to be my favorite grand dame in NYC & I have several magical memorable moments here...with Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Sahni, RajBakshi and RohanBalshi many more. It’s hitting the jackpot! Here in Las Vegas, our very own Indian cuisine is on a roll! At the globally prestigious Oscars of food, TheWorlds 50 Best awards, our Indian cuisine is making waves. It has moved out of the dark ages of it’s curry house status and zoomed to the 9th best in the world. Take a bow chef Gaggan Anand for your avantgarde progressive Indian! Close on his heels is Tresind Studio, crowned 13th best in the world. Making it’s presence felt on the extended list at #76 is Masque from Mumbai and Indian Accent from Delhi too. Infact the highoctane couple Aditi & Aditya Dugars & varun Totlanis Masque continued to reign as India’s Best restaurant at ASIAS 50 BEST held in Seoul a few months ago. A joy to applaud Rohit Khattar and Manish Mehrotra Indian Accent for being on the list for 12 years in a row.. Bringing South Indian flavors onto the global plate, chef Nikhil Nagpal of Avartana from Chennai & awadhi flavors of Dumpukht from Delhi. From Mumbai it’s the evervibrant Bombay Canteen’s chef Husain Shahzad, Sammer Sheth and the youngest in our team India chef Niyati and Sagar Neve of Ekaa find their place in Asias 50 best. While on the subject of Indian cuisine on the global palate and plate…in NYC Vikas Khanna’s three month old Bungalow is making history, breaking Records of being the most difficult reservation to get…Indian cuisine has surely hit the jackpot. #rashmiudaysingh

It was magic miracles & blessings that i not only dined at maestro.Jose Andres table instead of the 12 seater counter (which is also impossible to get a booking) minibar by José Andrés minibar by José Andrés, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, is a fabulous study in avant-garde cooking where each bite thrills. Art & science, tradition and technique copulate to produce masterpieces. Fabulous service pampering of the senses in every sense of the term. Too long to describe my tasting menu dishes here. Suffice it to say that “Magic & miracles happened. I’ve been a long term admirer of Jose Andres dined in his restaurants in LA & Dubai & now Washington. In sunny London feeling thrilled to applaud our very own brilliant chef AsmaKhan as she is conferred the very special award by HRH Duchess of Edinburgh at the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2024 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, the awards are seen as the chefs’ Oscars recognising the exceptional talent across the whole of our industry – from apprentice and young chefs just starting out to chefs who are established in their careers in hospitality, pubs and restaurants. Glittering shimmering event with dinner courses and champagne and awards. Congratulations winners.
