Hi! I wanted to take a moment to “introduce” myself in case you are new here 🤍 I’m Riley, and I am a multi-media artist and textile designer. I live in Falls Church, VA with my husband, (almost!) three-year-old daughter, and dog. I work out of a tiny home studio and feel very lucky to have the job that I do! Before I went full-time as an artist in 2017, I taught elementary school art for six years. I loved teaching, and if I wasn’t an artist, it is 100% what I’d still be doing. I had the privilege of chatting with @emilylanders about my career trajectory on @howdshedothatpodcast last year in case you’d like to hear more! My biggest project this year has been working on my book (!!), “Modern Motherhood,” which will be published by Abrams in spring 2025. PRINTS I offer fine art prints (and printed ribbon!) of some of my favorite pieces of artwork year-round in my online shop (linked in my profile) ORIGINAL ARTWORK Every couple of months, I release a collection of original artwork- I email out a catalog/save the date ahead of each launch, and you can sign up to be notified on my website! For 2024, I’ve also challenged myself to paint one new playing card each week of the year- I have been + will continue to list those as I paint them each week (but there are prints available too ♥️) TEXTILES + WALLPAPER I have a collection of home textiles and wallpaper which I update with new designs each year. I offer these both direct to consumer and to the trade- you can shop and/or apply for our trade program on my website. PARTNERSHIPS Finally, I work with a couple of brands each year on product collaborations- these are always so much fun, and I will never get over seeing my artwork on some of my favorite items. I couldn’t be more over the moon to share that my first book (!!), “Modern Motherhood,” a collection of illustrations of the quiet, often unobserved, moments of caregiving, will be published by @abramsbooks in 2025. When I started working on the “Modern Motherhood” series last year, I realized I just might have tapped into something special, and I am SO very thankful for my wonderful literary agent, Leigh Eisenman @lme.in.nyc at @wolfliterary , for believing in my idea. Leigh helped me put together a proposal to find the perfect publisher for this project, and I am so excited to be working with Abrams! So much more to come, but in the meantime, as I work on this book, I would love to hear about any moments of caregiving you’d like to see illustrated 🤍💙 as always, thank you, thank you, thank you- the best really is yet to come.

This summer marks ten years of this small business 🤍 as I’ve reflected on the past decade (!!) I’ve been revisiting some of the ideas and media I have loved exploring throughout my career so far. As I grow and change as an artist and business owner, I’ve realized that reflecting and looking back is just as important as planning and looking ahead. I am very excited to share this collection with you next month ✨ The Anniversary Collection launches July 23rd at 10AM 🤍
