Hi. I used to make & sell a lot of trinkets and prints; I haven’t had much time or motivation to keep up with that these last few years. Recently I had another round of these patches made, designed so long ago in my tiny Chicago apartment. I’ve been sitting on them for a few months while slowly outlining plans for a new batch of goods under a new banner. I’m putting them up for sale today instead, with all proceeds going to the Chicago Abortion Fund.
The assault on bodily autonomy by a small minority of religious zealots and reactionary billionaires is the first of many acts of oppression to come. Never be deceived they’ll allow you to simply vote away their power. They’re expecting you to heel, to be polite in your outrage, to ‘vote blue’ extra hard next time. Fuck that. Go to a protest tonight. Throw a brick through a Starbucks window. Vandalize a police car. Link arms with your comrades in the street and feel your rage, uninhibited. Let it remind you of your agency, your humanity - the things this machine is moving into overdrive to strip away. It’s okay to feel hopeless, I know I do. But you don’t have to go quietly.
