Adept in the worlds of jazz, classical, funk, gospel, rhythm & blues, and rock, Kyle Roussel is a dynamic example of a modern New Orleans musician forging his own path while collaborating with a variety of musical masters. He is a graduate of the NOCCA and UNO schools of music, rooted in the church, and has spent the last several years touring with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Kyle has worked with New Orleans music legends Irma Thomas, Terence Blanchard, Jon Batiste, and Chief aTunde Adjuah fka Christian Scott. Charmaine Neville is heiress to a rich New Orleans musical legacy. As daughter of saxophonist Charles Neville from the highly acclaimed Neville Brothers, she also adds her own stamp onto this endowment. Yusa is a Havana-born guitarist, bassist, vocalist, tres player, and composer. She relocated to New Orleans in 2020 and has been spending time collaborating with many of the city’s most talented musicians. An original bandleader of Cuban bands Interactivo and Quasi Jazz, her compositions have earned her international acclaim, and her 5 albums have won her multiple awards, including one from BBC World Radio. Born and raised in New Orleans, Stanton Moore is a dedicated drummer and performer. As a founding member of the Grammy-nominated funk band, Galactic, Moore’s infectious style has allowed him to collaborate with luminaries Irma Thomas, Joss Stone, Tom Morello, George Porter Jr, Dr. Lonnie Smith and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Driven and inspired by the thriving music scene of his hometown - which includes such greats as Professor Longhair, Doctor John, James Black and The Meters - Moore’s name is now mentioned amongst the Big Easy masters. Neal ‘Sugar’ Caine is one of New York’s premier jazz bassists. As a musician, he’s buoyant yet foundational, melodic, and endlessly swinging. As a band leader, he’s commanding, thoughtful, and charismatic. Victor Campbell is a prodigious piano player hailing from Camagüey, Cuba. His compelling style combines virtuosity, whimsy, charisma and technical prowess. Victor began playing piano at 5 years old and went on to train at Cuba’s National School of the Arts. He has played all over the globe. Victor first visited New Orleans in 2012 as part of an exchange program with the Louis Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp. That visit changed his life and in 2019 Victor decided to move to New Orleans. He has been feverishly studying all styles of New Orleans music ever since and incorporating it into his own musical language. He can effortlessly transition from a blues solo, to a Cuban timba montuno, and then right into a classical piano selection. Mahmoud “Mood” Chouki is a Moroccan master guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator currently living in New Orleans. His art draws together music from around the globe. Chouki teaches at the Lycée Français de la Nouvelle Orléans and is the music curator at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA). Most recently, he composed the music score for the 2021 Sundance Award winning film, “Ma Belle, Ma Beauty.” In 2021, Chouki was awarded “Best Emerging Artist” by OffBeat Magazine. His New World Ensemble has been steadily gaining acclaim, earning him Gambit Weekly's 2022 "Best World Music Artist'' award at their annual Big Easy Awards.
