Per your instructions, Bozo was given the biscuits first, then Luna, followed by me. Suffice it to say, they’re yum and Bozo’s behaving like he might climb onto the dining table and polish them off. You might need to bring excess luggage worth more next time 😆
January of 2024 has begun fantastically. Doing the work I love, hanging with people I love and doing things I love.
The trek to Triund this time was a piece of cake. If that cake hardens your calves, thighs, glutes and gives you joyous pains for two days after.
Luna sang her heart out. IYKYK. And my angel also did her whole run-up-ahead-come-back-to-check-on-me routine all the way to and fro.
Bubbles called it - I’m a puppy and all I want is to play ball, screw you for making me work so hard - pretty much after half way up.
Needless to say, the ladies were great company. We shared laughs and food (the latter not from my plate coz well, I’m like Joey).
To round it off, just a puppy asleep on a couch.

Bozo’s sixteenth birthday is one of the greatest gifts for me. To have him on this day. Still jumping for his meals, biting my fingers for treats, making the occasional effort (and effort it is) to climb into bed to snuggle next to me all night. Especially after he lay motionless for five days just ten months back, almost gone. He chose to fight on and demand one more treat. And then a thousand more.
My heart is overwhelmed with the privilege of having and loving him. And to be loved by him.
Forever my greatest joy he is. As are all the other puppies in the world. But I’ll never tell him that.
Before the mush gets too much, time to pull his cake out of the oven!

The brushing of fingers, lips, bodies vs the misunderstandings.
The looks of pure joy, comfort, adoration, attraction vs the unsure feeling in the mind.
The texts saying ‘enough, now come back to me’ vs the cold silences.
Retrospect is such an underrated feeling.
Retrospect rights everything.
Retrospect is almost always too late.
But, love is a many splendour thing.
In retrospect, all you need is love.

Home. It’s not inside. It’s what the heart looks out to, whilst in it. Innit?
Every home is temporary. Or am I just an anomaly in an otherwise permanent world.
It’s a feeling; it lasts till it’s strong. Till it’s still relevant. Till it continues to bring joy.
Change and moving on are albeit, necessary.
I’m just used to embracing them with aplomb.
So here’s to a hearty goodbye, home.

All 12 times that I’ve made a home out of brick and mortar in my adult life.
