On this day of celebrating our country and it's rich cultural diversity, we would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
The Block Co is situated on land that is steeped in the ancestral history of many indigenous peoples. Today, we pay our respect to the Anishinabewaki, Haudenosaunee, Attiwonderonk, and Metis peoples of this land and honour their friendship past, present and future.

Meet my dear friend Christina.
She is a trained professional chef with extensive history in Burlington's vibrant culinary scene. She's also the founder of @thegoodmagpie community wellness hub around the corner on Pine St.
Christina is a world traveller who raises the vibe and curates unique experiences no matter where she is.
She tells me she most loves the relaxed atmosphere at The Block Co and all of the amazing musical talent that walk through the doors of The Edison Room.

Brad Woods has told stories at festivals, theatres, conferences, prisons, churches, and pubs all over North America and the UK. He tells traditional tales, literary classics, and personal stories. His stories have been featured in a variety of broadcasts and publications, including CBC Radio 1, the Globe and Mail, and Canadian Running Magazine. Brad has told to all ages and in every type of venue imaginable. He is the recipient of the Alice Kane Award for Storytelling and used it to travel to Lesotho (Southern Africa) to tell, trade, and collect stories on behalf of Bracelet of Hope.
