Anthony Bourdain’s life was a journey of connection and discovery, revealing the profound truth that food is the great equaliser. One of his most iconic moments was sharing a meal of bun cha with former US President Barack Obama in a humble Hanoi eatery, a scene that resonated globally. This simple yet profound act highlighted the power of food to bridge cultural and political divides, elevating Vietnamese cuisine to a newfound prominence on the world stage. Bourdain’s legacy reminds us that, across all borders and divides, the simple act of sharing food binds us together, celebrating our differences while highlighting our universal need for connection. . . . . . . . . #anthonybourdain #food #vietnam #travel #travelgram #inremembrance

If the eyes of the world are on India, Mumbai could soon be the world’s most fascinating city. Kakamuchee, Galajunkja, Mombayn, Bombay, Bombain, Bombaym, Monbaym, Mombaim, Mombaym, Bambaye, Bombaiim, Bombeye, Boon Bay, and Bon Bahi - among many other names of the Maximum City at one point in its history. From the commercial capital to the arts and entertainment capital- the City of Dreams is now fast becoming the pre-eminent hub for businesses and startups alike, attracting talent not only within India, but now the world. The new startup capital ~ Earlier this year the Economic Times stated that Mumbai is now the preferred location for investors and startup founders, “The number of jobs that are here and the kind of infrastructure that’s being built will reduce traffic to one of the least in any metro cities in India. This will make affordable housing possible, which will make rent much more affordable for companies as well.”   Art at its heart ~ The vibrant metropolis finds itself as the premier destination for creators and artists who have been treating the creative capital as its canvas. From art deco skylines to graffiti-filled bylanes, the artistic and creative beating heart of India is not only alive but continues to re-invent itself, adeptly poised at the intersection of tradition and innovation.

Ever wondered what it’s like to swim alongside the gentle giants of the ocean? Diving into the deep blue with whales is a surreal experience that leaves us humbled. In some Polynesian cultures, this profound connection with the ocean is protected by the ancient custom of ‘rahui’. Rahui is a traditional practice that temporarily restricts access to certain areas of the ocean, allowing marine life to thrive and regenerate. It’s a beautiful example of how indigenous wisdom honours and safeguards nature’s delicate balance. Countries like New Zealand, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, and Hawaii actively promote rahui to manage and conserve their marine ecosystems. When swimming with whales, it’s not just about the thrill of the encounter; it’s about respecting these majestic creatures and the ecosystems they call home. Embracing *rahui* means acknowledging our role in preserving these marine sanctuaries for future generations. Dive into a world where tradition meets nature conservation, and let’s cherish these moments with the whales while honouring the timeless wisdom of rahui. . . . . . . . . . . . #whales #travel #travelgram #ocean #environment #tahiti #newzealand #hawaii
