The last few features to highlight!
“Miscellaneous Ramble” - The first part of this song was one of the first “beats” that I made. When I first got into this style of production I was really going for video game music as the sonic inspo. I sent it to
@yeetmiracle at the tail end of the pandemic & she wrote the epic chorus (her voice memo demo-idea ended up being just the vibe it needed, so we never re-recorded what she initially sent back).
The part after the drop to organ was the 2nd piece I recorded in my current home studio - “Enjoy the Show” being the first. Similarly to “A Quick Thought” I had 2 pieces in the same key & spliced em together to create one journey.
“Lively” takes the cake for oldest piece that made the record. I recorded the instrumental when I lived in Denver & when I moved to Cbus I showed it to
@namesbooty one night at Natalie’s Worthington. He wrote and recorded the verse & chorus and then it sat dormant for some time.
Flash forward a few years and this record is taking shape. I tracked down the parts that he recorded & gave the tune some extra love. When Tyler recorded it
@stinavento added some awesome melodies that I have since chopped and placed around. Lastly, I added the vox melody over his chorus & we had a track.
“A Quick Thought” - The first part of this song is one of the oldest recorded pieces that made the record. I believe it was tracked in 2017. I dug it up and had
@twominutemile come lay some drums on it for fun before Old Pal was even on the horizon.
@evanwestfall and I recorded the second half of the song the day after we recorded “Long Way from Home” - also eons ago. He played the epic picky bass line / drums & I added the guitar. Since then I added more percussion, some samples & sub bass. I realized the two pieces were in the same key, spliced em together and bang!
